WHO IS PRETTY MHLONGO?

 

Pretty Mhlongo is a female Musician who specializes in the Gospel
music genre. Pretty is restoring Gospel music back to its original state by
offering true worship to the Almighty God.

She is a born-again child of God. Pretty started singing at the age of 10
years, she truly loved and enjoyed singing since.

 

HER HISTORY IN MUSIC

She had an opportunity to stage with Benjamin Dube, Khaya
Mthethwa, Dr Rebecca Malope, Ntokozo Mbambo, Joyous Celebration,
Mhlongo action and Kirk Franklin in the Limpopo Province, South Africa.

Pretty released her solo album in 2011 the title is ‘Imvuselelo’ under the
theme “ Bridal Worship”.
In 2013 she released a single titled Your Name.
In 2015 she also recorded her first live DVD titled Season of Worship, which
was released in the years 2016 and 2017.
She recently released a single album titled Uyadumiseka in 2021.

 

PRETTY’S FAMILY

In 2007 she got married to Selby Mhlongo; a songwriter, Music producer and
a Music Director. Her husband is the producer as well as directing and
arranging her Music. Selby Mhlongo has sported and identified an anointed talent in her
, and they both decided to take it further. They are together staying in
Nelspruit and they were blessed with 2 beautiful girls (Aaliyah and Khanya) and 1
handsome boy (Khaya).

 

PRETTY’S ACHIEVEMENTS

• She won the 1st Award of Woman Of Worth, the category of Sport, Arts
and Culture in Mpumalanga Province in August 2011.

• Received 2 awards under the title “Mpumalanga Best Female Artist”
from MGOMA and BFM AWARDS.

• Nominated on INGOMA AWARDS category of Best Worship Album.
Nominated on MGOMA Song of the Year ‘Gamelihle’.

• MGOMA AWARDS and Mpumalanga Music lovers voted and
honored her as Mpumalanga Artist of the Year 2017.

• Nominated on SWA Awards, Best Female Artists 2018.

• Nominated on SABC Crown Gospel Awards 2018.

• Awarded the 2020 Best Female Artist on INGOMA Award

• Hosting a number of shows including her Season of Worship in
Mbombela Stadium, August Season of a Woman and assisting and
mentoring several female artists.

• She was part of the Finalists for Mrs Mpumalanga 2019.

• Recently a tourism Ambassador for the MTPA
